Project-friendly metrics and technologies for better results in nutrition-sensitive projects

Through the development of project-friendly metrics and technologies, in this project we look to enhance the way policy makers, designers and implementers of nutrition-sensitive interventions design and carry-out their research projects.

The project has got two (2) main components:

1. To develop a food diet diversity and quality mobile assessment tool which incorporates the list based MDD-W, HDDS,FCS, IYCF-MDD and SAIN-LIM system as well as a food photo databank. This will will lead to the development of a food photo recognition algorithm that recognizes foods from their photos and provides the accompanying nutrition data.
2. To design and implement a new tool for a more robust and flexible analysis of nutrition-sensitive agriculture (NSA).
